Janet Labree, loving mother and grandmother, passed away in a fatal accident on 4/27/17 shortly after midnight. Janet struggled with health issues but was always a caring, considerate person that showed love and affection on a regular basis. She valued every moment she got to spend with her grandson, daughter, and partner over the six months she lived in Virginia.
My mom was my best friend and my rock even though we butted heads every now and again. In the midst of arguments and disagreements, she was always there for me.
Janet struggled with depression and alcoholism after losing her oldest daughter, Amanda, in a fatal car accident and losing her lifelong home in New Jersey. Janet moved to Virginia to start anew, away from troubling memories that wreaked havoc on her physical and mental well-being. For awhile, family and good company was her cure to her struggles but unfortunately her struggles got the best of her.
Money raised goes directly to end-of-life expenses to respect my mom's wishes. She wanted to be cremated and her ashes spread around where she grew up in New Jersey and also put with her late daughter Amanda. Any and all donations are immensely appreciated as Janet did not have funds set aside nor can her immediate family afford the overbearing cost of end-of-life services.

UPDATE 4/29/17:
The overwhelming amount of support was unexpected but touching and heartwarming! We feel so blessed and loved by everyone who has reached out with flowers, donations, and messages of support and condolences. Everything has made this time a bit easier for all of us - with the outstanding bills and end-of-life costs and expenses that we were not prepared for. Thank you so much - it means the world to us!

The goal was raised to accommodate a small service back in Janet's hometown in New Jersey as well as outstanding bills Janet left behind that we recently found out about. Again, the outpouring of support has been amazing and we have been nothing but grateful and blessed!
