At the end of July, we will be climbing Huyana Potosi, a 6000m summit in Bolivia. Reaching higher than Everest base camp!

We decided that as we are taking on such a challenge we would like to raise some money for a cause that is very special to us.

We are climbing in memory of Jan Keliher, the mum of our best friend, who passed away recently. Jan was an incredible lecturer and teacher at the University of Exeter. She went out of her way to support her students with real warmth and care. She was deeply loved by her colleagues, her students, and by all of us who were lucky enough to know her. Above all, she was a wonderful mum.

We have chosen to raise money for YoungMinds, the UK's leading charity for children and young people's mental health. Their work feels like a natural reflection of the kindness and generosity Jan showed throughout her life and with her students.
