Janet Marie (Blades) Curley, 52 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 8, 2019 surrounded by her family at Mass General Hospital.
Janet was born in the Bronx, NY on July 13, 1967, to her parents Donald P. and Virginia S. (Coyle) Curley. As a young teenager Janet and her family moved to Cape Cod, where Janet resided to this day with her son, James Blades, the light of her life. Janet lived life to the fullest with her generous personality, quick sense of humor, beautiful smile, and contagious laugh. Janet’s most precious thing in life was her family.
Janet is survived and will be missed tremendously by her parents and her son, her sister Patricia Curley, her brother James Curley, and his wife Jan Curley. Additionally, her nieces and nephews: Laura and her fiancé Scott, Donna and her husband Collin, Ryan, Finn, and her grand-niece Cora. Some of Janet’s most joyous moments were those spent with her nieces and nephews. Everyone who knew Janet was the better for it. Janet was a devoted friend, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, but her proudest title was mother to her son.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11 a.m. at First Church in Sandwich, MA at 136 Main Street. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in Sandwich, MA at 154 Route 6A.
In lieu of flowers, this memorial fund has been set up to support Janet’s son, James. Contributions will be used for James's education and expenses.
