Janessa's Fight Against Lyme disease

Donation protected
Hi! Thank you for popping in here to learn more about Janessa and her ongoing fight against Lyme.

Janessa has been part of our family since 2019. Unbeknownst to any of us, the many little aches and pains she was dealing with when we first met, were symptoms of a much bigger problem. A year went by and we began to realize that her balance was being affected by...? What? We didn't know.

Her lack of coordination was passed off as clumsiness; a clumsiness that resulted in repeated injuries, including a torn knee cap which led to surgery. After her surgery, we expected her to heal as people generally do, but instead she seemed to get worse as the weeks went by. Little did we know that this was only the beginning of 3 long years of being entirely bedridden.

By the mercy of God, Janessa's knee was miraculously healed on Christmas Day, 2023. Suddenly she was walking around, relatively pain-free, her knee completely healed of its former ailment.

However, she continued to be plagued by chronic headaches which rapidly developed into migraines. Her body couldn't handle long days of activity, something we initially chalked up as the result of three years of forced inertia.

Unfortunately this was not the case. It soon became evident that Janessa was dealing with something much more sinister. Neurological Lyme disease, which is to say, advanced, and which is now attacking her nervous system. Janessa's Dr. thinks she may have been fighting the disease since she was 12-13 years old.

Janessa is a warrior. A fighter who can, and has, lived with an unimaginable amount of pain with a smile on her face, always believing that tomorrow will be better. Those of us who know her, know how often she has inspired us by her trust in God and her patient endurance despite the agony she lives with.

But the tomorrows just kept getting worse. In January 2025 her health forced her to quit her teaching job in the city. A job she loved and excelled in. Since then she has been mostly bedridden once again, her health deteriorating at a rate that, to be entirely honest, could be fatal if we don't take some drastic measures.

Jess has seen many, many doctors here in MB, Canada. Medical, Naturopathic, and others. She has taken the tinctures and medications and done the physiotherapies recommended. She has spent thousands of dollars on hopeful possibilities only to feel, helplessly, that nothing stemmed the tide of the disease that is slowly killing her.
Unfortunately, no one in MB seems to know how to treat Lyme disease at this level of advancement.

I was praying for Jess a few days ago, which obviously is not an uncommon occurrence, yet this time I felt an urgency to ask God for answers, not necessarily miracles. I had been researching several clinics in the USA that week, and had placed a few phone calls...
Shortly after that prayer, my phone rang. I cried as I listened to Sarah telling me about their treatment plan. For the first time in all the years we've been learning about Lymes and researching treatments, I felt like I was hearing science that made sense.

Obviously, this 8-12 week treatment program is not cheap and is particularly pricey for Canadians, considering the exchange rate, etc.

There is another option we’re looking into. This one is located in Germany which, ironically, all expenses included is cheaper than the clinic in Arizona while still using very similar methods. At present we are praying about which option best fits Janessa’s needs.

This is where you come in. If Janessa's story has touched your heart, please pray for her. And pray for God to provide the money she needs to get to Arizona and receive the treatment she so desperately needs. If you feel inspired to be a conduit for answering those prayers, God bless you!
You will never know how grateful we are!
