I have been an active board member since 2018 and I have seen first-hand the great benefits CIS provides to our community. More information about Communities in Schools of Jacksonville: Communities In Schools of Jacksonville provides dropout prevention services to over 7,000 students in Duval County Public Schools. Elementary, Middle and High school students are provided support through three divisions: Literacy Tutoring, Afterschool enrichment, and Case Management. Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Since 1990, Communities In Schools of Jacksonville has helped more than 110,000 individual students. Many students face serious challenges, ranging from hunger to homelessness. The staff works both inside and outside the classroom to help these students find new paths to success through case management, literacy tutoring, and afterschool programs. Our programs are truly making a difference in the lives of students every year.

Your donation could provide books for students to build an at home library; enroll a student in afterschool services where they receive academic assistance and can participate in unique opportunities such as robotics; or provide emergency support funds for a student or family in need.  Communities In Schools surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
