Janelle’s journey has been long, 8 and a half years. Many of you know parts of this story. She was first diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, and a few years later it progressed to Stage 4 (non-curable) metastatic breast cancer, spreading to her bones.

In recent months, her scans have shown further progression, this time into vital organs, including her liver, as well as her eye and skeletal system. In the last couple of weeks, multiple tests and procedures have revealed that her cancer has now mutated into triple negative breast cancer, the most aggressive and difficult to treat form.

Janelle has pursued both alternative therapies and western medicine over the years, but the disease continues to advance. With her liver not functioning well and her health rapidly declining, she is incredibly ill. In the past month, her health has declined to the point where she is unable to perform basic daily tasks. Although radiation to her eye was initially planned, she will most likely forgo that option and begin immediate chemotherapy instead, given the severity and rapid progression of her decline

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share on this platform that Janelle no longer has the energy to keep up with individual conversations, and we know that not everyone is connected on social media. Please know that she deeply feels your love, your prayers, and your fight alongside her—even when she cannot respond.

Her strength and hope remain, though the road is unimaginably hard. Jeff continues to care for her with tireless devotion, all while supporting their brave 8-year-old daughter, Katrin. Her family continues to surround her with prayer and is believing for a miracle.
