Janee' Holladay's Battle against Cancer
Donation protected
Welcome to Janee Holladay' s go fund me page! Her health situation hasn’t been the best so I wanted to create a space where we can all pitch in and show support!
As some of you may know, my mom has been battling against a ruthless form of rectal cancer since 2015. Due to the tumors rapid growth, doctors had to immediately place her on Chemotherapy treatment and preform a Colonoscopy to remove infected tissue. During this process they had to cut out vital sections of the colon leaving her with a stoma on the lower left abdomen. All precautions were taken to correct the issue but by that point it was too late. The Rectal Cancer had not only entered her blood stream, but infected the lungs.
After being diagnosed with stage four Rectal Cancer of the Lungs, my mom was told she only had a 50% chance to make it 3 years... that was a year and a half ago. The unforgiving tumors in both lungs continue to grow as she is cycled through different types of chemo treatments.
My mom is the strongest person I know but the byproduct from years of weekly treatments has taken a great toll on her health to the point that she had to quit her job. Not to mention some of the unexpected concerns that followed : Radiated induced Menopause, Sever inflammation of the skin, Pulmonary Edema (fluid buildup in the lungs), and pinched nerves that cause continuous pain to radiate down the left arm. Her body has become unpredictable and her physical symptoms and exhaustion are overwhelming to say the least.
An appointment with the MAYO clinic has been set up for the end of September but there are thoughts of cancelation due to the $5000 downpayment. I'm hoping to raise at least that set amount to ensure her session with their doctors and take away some of the financial stress. The rest will go towards her current treatments, possible MAYO clinic treatments, physical therapy, and living expenses since she's unable to generate income.
My mom was reluctant to let me start this Go Fund Me Account- she wants to be independent and take care of her needs on her own, like she always does. I have watched her go through too much in the last few years to not at least try to help her.
I am asking for your support, thoughts, and prayers, and if possible a financial donation. Whatever you feel comfortable giving WILL make a difference, and WILL be gratefully appreciated.
If you would be willing to share this with your friends and family by sharing the link posted below and/or posting it on your social media, the family will be again, forever grateful. #TeamJaneeMarie
Sincerely,
Caroline Holladay
