Jane Wong is now with God. She lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, 16 November 2025, surrounded by her family.
As a Christian, Jane loved the Psalms.
One of her favourite Psalms was 23.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
We pay tribute to our beloved colleague, Jane Wong.
Jane was an exceptional Science teacher. Beloved by her students, Jane was a gentle and intelligent teacher. She knew each girl. She taught with warmth and accuracy. As a staff member, Jane was loyal and collegial. She was kind.
We all love and remember Jane. God hold her and bless her.

Miss Jane Wong is a much-valued member of the Science Faculty and the PLC Sydney community. She is a passionate and dedicated teacher of Chemistry and Science, always bringing out the best in her students through her high expectations and gentle encouragement. Along with her sister, a Maths teacher also in Sydney, Jane has given her life to teaching.
Let’s come together to support Jane as she faces treatment for a serious form of cancer. Beyond the difficulties and expenses of the treatment itself, one of the unique difficulties that Jane faces at the moment is that her parents need to travel backwards and forwards from Malaysia to be with her at this time.
Every contribution will help provide much-needed support for Jane and her family during this time, including providing the means to stay together.
