Our dear Jane Murakami is facing a daunting recovery and rehabilitation after two recent surgeries due to advanced diabetes.
On Monday, October 15th, Jane underwent an arterial bypass in her left leg to allow more blood to flow to her extremity. She has significant stitches (151!) extending from her ankle to the groin. The next day all toes on her left foot were amputated to prevent the spread of a bone infection. Jane now resides at Trinity Care Center in Farmington, MN where she will receive rehab and be fitted for a prosthesis.
Jane will require considerable time to rest and recover. She is unable to work and her future employment supervising mentally disabled adults in a group home is uncertain as the physical demands are high.
Please help alleviate the financial stress Jane is experiencing so she can concentrate on her recovery! Thanks so much!!
