Jane Goodall Institute - Kelp Forrest Swim Team
We are a team of scientists from the Forrest Research Foundation and are excited to be swimming 20 km to Rottnest across open ocean on February 22th, 2025. That day, we will be diving into the deep blue sea with determination and enthusiasm, not only to challenge ourselves but also to support the work carried out by Jane Goodall Institute Australia!
The Jane Goodall Institute Australia (JGIA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring hope and action through education for a sustainable planet. Through its Roots & Shoots program, JGIA empowers young Australians to undertake projects that benefit animals, people, and the environment. Additionally, JGIA supports international initiatives, such as the Girls' Empowerment Project, which aims to end period poverty and help girls stay in school, thereby fostering positive long-term change for local communities and chimpanzee population.
As marine scientists, we believe that every stroke we take will create a positive ripple effect. We deeply care about the JGIA and its inspiration for generations to come. However, we cannot achieve our fundraising goals without your generous support. If you would like to contribute, you can do so by making a donation above, even a small donation (5$-10$) makes a difference.
