Hello Family & Friends & Strangers,
My parents have always been the ones to help those in need. They’ve adopted children, helped family members going through hard times, donated to your causes, given food and shelter and love to so many in their 70 years. If you can help them in their time of need, any small donation helps and is so appreciated.
To be candid, GoFundMe’s make me cringe. I hesitated to start one because while I love helping others, I struggle to ask for help. But several of you, whether you know my parents or not, have asked for a way to provide meaningful help to them. I thank you.
Dad-approved wording below:
“Jane & Gary Benolkin have been full-time residents of Bonita Springs, FL since 2002. Their home off of Spring Creek was completely submerged in the storm surge from Hurricane Ian and is unlivable. Because the trailer was a 1970’s model it did not qualify to be covered by insurance. They now need to replace all of their belongings and household living items and find a place to live that is handicap accessible. They currently have only their Social Security checks they live on. Any assistance you can provide to help alleviate this financial burden for them would be greatly appreciated!”
