My name is Jana and I'm an Arab trans woman living in the Middle East, each day poses another danger to my safety and I am currently trying to get out of my country as well as gathering funds for gender-dysphoria alleviating surgeries
I've already been DIYing hormones for almost 6 months now because it is illegal for doctors to help me here but I've recently hit a dead end because it's becoming increasingly harder to get the hormone replacement medication I need.
Being forced off HRT poses not only a mental health risk but a physical one too: being forced off is going to cause me to have an even more gender non-confirming body which is not only mentally crippling because of gender-dysphoria related to masculinity but also puts me at greater risk for violence
I'd like to gather enough money to
- Be able to leave to the US
- Be able to switch to needle injections for HRT in the meanwhile and for the future (injections are more effective and might be more available than pills where I currently am but unfortunately they are more expensive than the other forms of HRT)
- Have enough of a survival fund so that I can stand on my own two feet while I'm there (and a emergency fund in general)
- Add to funds for facial feminization surgery and laser hair removal (which will be the next step in my medical transition as soon as I leave the middle east)
