Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money for the desperate situation in the Moria refugee camp in Lesbos Greece in aid of Hope and Aid Direct.
My Aim ?
Is to raise funds for at least 100 sleeping bags
1000 bottles of sanitiser
1000 bottles of liquid soap
But loads more would be even better!!
Why?
In recognition and gratitude of all we have in the UK including our NHS.
The 20,000 people living in Lesbos have no NHS and often not even a bed. Not only are they fighting this covid pandemic, but an outbreak of meningitis. Sanitation is practically non existent, only one toilet for every 100 people. They queue for hours each day for a small bag of bland food. The living conditions are horrific this camp was set up for just 3000 people. How can you socially isolate when 10 of you share a tent on a dirt track? Please look at my video.
When?
In September Hope and Aid Direct will be collecting our donations and transporting a container to Lesbos. You can help provide much needed support by donating as soon as possible. Every donation will help and be forwarded into the account of my church. St Marys Island Church and every penny will be used to buy the items listed above.
