Dear Family, Friends, and Clients - past, present and (hopefully) future,

Who knew that after leaving my job at The OSU Medical Center in 1980 to start Jan Kish - la petite fleur, I would still be pursuing my dream of Culinary Artistry and all things Gastronomic! Coming out of 2019 on a high note and moving toward the new year on a higher note, no one could have guessed that a worldwide health emergency would appear with such force in 2020 that would turn everything upside down and inside out, leaving no corner of our lives untouched?

Needless to say, the Food and Hospitality industries, of which my bakery is a proud and integral part, have been greatly impacted by necessary public health measures. Because Jan Kish - la petite fleur concentrates on celebrations and weddings, where large groups of guests can no longer gather to enjoy our magical cakes, our business has been laid flat.

My friends, the best part of my professional adventures in healthcare and baking over the years has been YOU. The lines between colleague, patient, and client have blurred and blended into friendships I treasure. You have brought so much creativity, laughter, fun, and "out of the box" thinking to my table...it has been a delight and a true honor to serve you. I would hate to leave all that, and my little gem of a bakery behind.

Considering our next steps after the past few weeks, I am determined to forge ahead to turn your hopes and dreams, and that of your loved ones, into a magical and sweet reality. To that end, I am asking for your help to continue our work, celebrate love, and be a force for good in our community.

With grateful heart and ready hands, I ask for your support so that our ship may sail to the other side of 2020 where we hope to celebrate our 40th year (OMG) of business together!

There are a few ways to give:

1-Click here Jan Kish – la petite fleur GoFundMe Campaign

2- Send a check directly to Jan Kish – la petite fleur; 633 Oxford St. Worthington, Ohio 43085

3- Call Jan’s Cell at [phone redacted] with a Credit Card

If you cannot give, we ask you to consider our weekly "Saturday Porch Pick-Up". We are headed back to where we began when I had my restaurant in Lane Ave. and on 5th Ave. At both these locations we carried savory and sweet temptations. We will once again have these delights in a limited menu form to help you, and us, keep going. Many of the items will be designed so that they may be frozen, if desired, and you can be used as needed. Cakes and desserts will always be available, (link to website and categories).

During this week we will post our first Menu of options that will begin on April 25th, 2020, with "Porch Pic-Up" between 3 and 5pm. You may call anytime to place your order, [phone redacted] or [phone redacted]. If I don't catch the phone straight away I will get back with you post hast.

Extras, as always, go to the Faith Mission coupled with The Newman Center, so your order helps sustain the hungry of greater Columbus.

In this time of such need, may we all help each other with Love, Compassion and Hope. I am grateful for your consideration and the many friendship created over these amazing years. In the meantime, stay happy, healthy and hungry!
