Jan Burgin Royse Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Jan Burgin Royse, Dot Burgin's daughter, and husband JJ have been going through a pretty rough time. Seven weeks ago Jan (age 47) found a blister on the bottom of her foot and went to her Dr. to determine the seriousness since she is diabetic. The Dr. completed an angiogram, but within a week and after additional visits to urgent care and finally the emergency room, Jan was hospitalized and scheduled for immediate surgery. She suffered a heart attack during the operation so the insertion of a stent in that leg could not be completed. After many days in ICU she is now home, but is still facing possible amputation of her left leg, and another blister has appeared on her right foot which will require a stent in that leg as soon as medically possible.
It will be many months before Jan will be able to return to work. She is not eligible for any kind of disability payments until she is disabled for one year, and unemployment benefits require that you are able to work. She is required to spend most of her day in a recliner with her feet up and Dot is spending the week days with her while JJ is at work. Medical bills are adding up quickly especially since the out-of-pocket maximum has occurred in 2 calendar years. In addition, the day to day expenses (rent, utilities, car payment, etc.) require two incomes. Jan and JJ are so appreciative of your support, and especially want to thank everyone for ongoing prayers as they traverse this journey with God's help.
