John Devenyns Cancer Fund

John C. Devenyns was diagnosed three weeks ago with very aggressive, metastatic, stage 4 lung cancer that has spread throughout nearly all of his body, including his brain, vital organs and bones. He was given a prognosis of only a few weeks to live. The rapid deterioration of our once healthy father has left us reeling. Six weeks ago, he was functioning normally, working, exercising and making future plans. Today he is enrolled in in-home hospice and planning out his final days.

He was a dedicated police officer for 25 years and six years ago he returned to serve the city of Colorado Springs as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. With the sudden
prognosis of only a few weeks to live, our fathers inability to work and provide for his family is weighing heavily on his mind. His feelings of needing to return to work come up frequently, which is definitely not an option.
