Aug 24th update: This campaign is not about my scar coverage anymore but avoiding bankruptcy from everthing that has happened. Story in recent update. Hugs! Many of you know me as Anais, or by my nickname of Jams. Last Sept. I was diagnosed w DCIS & stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I had a bilateral masectomy, chemo, and reconstruction & am now left to pick up the pieces financially, emotionally, and physically. My insurance doesn't cover nipple tattoos or scar covering. I want to get nipple & a Sakura tree up my side and over my scars. I want to take back my life! We are a family of 5 & I am still out of work (looking for job I can handle health wise). We have over 20k in chemo bills, down from over 40 but they say part is out of network, which makes no sense since all of my chemo was in one building. I feel like a broken barbie doll, or cancer barbie. I don't feel human. I have to go on post treatment drugs, remove my ovaries, or let the cancer come back. Either way I am going to be in forced menopause at 37 or die. Easy choice, but difficult mentally. I'm sorry for asking for help for such a vein reason, I just want my life back and to keep fighting!
