Jamo's 50th Birthday Adventure

Very sadly, Jamo has pulled out of the boy’s surf trip to the Telos Islands next year to celebrate our looming 50th birthday's.

We all know Jamo is an exceptionally caring and curious soul who would do anything he could to help someone in need. We are confident there are hundreds of people out there who like us have had the joy of sharing life and laughter with him, in those great and not so great times.

Unfortunately, the last few years have been very challenging for our dear mate, and for a variety of reasons Jamo has pulled out, highlighting that he needed to put his remaining savings into some urgent family priorities. Combined with Uni study and limited part-time work opportunities, he made the call that he could not afford to join the rest of the boys on the trip.

For us guys the importance of getting mates together, especially those going through tough times is becoming increasingly important as we get older and face all sorts of challenges in our personal, family and professional lives.

One of the most important and necessary ingredients of any big surf trip is our fitness. We are all keen and focused on getting ourselves and Jamo as fit as possible in the lead up to the trip and making sure we are all as fit as possible when our respective 50ths arrive! This being the best gift we can give ourselves and our loved ones.

Therefore, we are reaching out to our and Jamo’s network of family and friends to see if we can pull together the funds to give Jamo the best 50th birthday present we can. The trip itself is less than $4000 plus flights and some spending money. We are hoping to get around $5000 together to ensure we can get him there and back.
