Jamison Jone’s Hospital Costs

6-month-old Jamison is suffering from a rare blood disorder called HLH. His little body is attacking itself and is triggered from inflammatory response. His body essentially turns on itself and starts attacking organs and blood cells. This is a life-threatening illness that is devastating his little body. His spleen is enlarged to 4 times the size of an adults and pushing other organs and his stomach out. Jamison has been in so much pain he can hardly rest & eating is an ordeal that leaves him exhausted with little food or nutrients actually retained. There is only one treatment for this, a bone marrow transplant since HLH is primarily in the bone marrow. He has been in Children’s Hospital in Knoxville Tennessee twice since he was born: 4 weeks the first time and 6 weeks this time around. Thursday, the hospital airlifted him to Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio where he is currently waiting for a bone marrow donor. Jamison has been started on chemo because HLH is a cancer causing health issue. We are praying and hoping his little body won’t be affected by all the side effects of the numerous heavy medications he’s already been on and the chemo he is now starting. He is going to be in Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati for Months, & there is no end date. The doctors there have registered Jamison on the National Registry for bone marrow transplants. All his uncles and aunts are being tested for a match. Jamison has spent more time in the hospital fighting for his precious life than he has at home and there doesn’t seem to be an end in site for this. Katie & Justin are doing all they can to survive watching their precious little boy fight to stay with them as they fight to keep him alive and take care of their other children. The crushing weight of fighting this disease is hard enough before the financial burdens of hospital bills and everyday needs. Katie has been unable to work for 6 weeks and is now four hours away from the family. Justin’s full-time job is here in Knoxville and they can’t do without his pay. Another obstacle is trying to find temp truck drivers to cover Justin’s work shifts to even allow him to go to Ohio. Truly and Zoey are missing their stepmom, Katie and baby brother and having to face the reality that their father will have to travel back and forth between Ohio and Tennessee without getting to be with them and know what’s going on. It’s hard for them to understand the situation. This is a unimaginable amount of pressure and stress on this little family. YOUR HELP IS DESPATLEY NEEDED. THIS FAMILY IS DEVASTATED, EMOTIONALLY AND FINANCIALY.

Gas gift cards; coffee gift cards; grocery delivery/gift cards will be much needed and appreciated as Justin will most likely be driving to Ohio weekly or every other week & the family will be away from their community, as Katie is already experiencing having to be alone while Justin tries to work and still be a dad to Truly and Zoey. Instacart or other grocery/food delivery options will be helpful. Starbucks doesn’t accept gift cards unless it’s at a standalone store, so Katie won’t be able to use them on site. EGift cards can be sent through text; email or FB messenger. Your financial contribution here is greatly needed, actually beyond the amount posted as insurance will only pay pennies of what hospital bills are so far and the expenses are building with at least another month and more than likely a few months to go as Jamison is just starting to be treated for this. The flight lift alone isn’t being completely covered by insurance, much less the length of hospital stay & all his care & treatments. His life hangs in the balance every day as any of the meds could trigger or strengthen the HLH attack and his little body has already been through so much without much progress

Anything you can give is appreciated. Please be praying for the effects of HLH to be reversed; that CMV doesn’t trigger another HLH attack; that side effects of chemo won’t be a reality; that the right doctors and nurses are in front of this case. We declare life over baby Jamison and his future!
