Hi! My name is Debby Johnson, and I’m fundraising for my nephew, Jamison Hill, who is going through an extremely difficult time due to serious and ongoing medical conditions.
Jamison was born without sockets for his hips and shoulders. Although he did doctor for pain as a result of football in high school, there was no diagnosis until after having to leave the Air Force Academy at the end of his first year due to medical concerns. Subsequently he underwent initial surgery at the University of Washington to reconstruct his left shoulder. This was unsuccessful.
Over the last several years he has had both hips and one shoulder replaced.
On June 19, 2025 Jamison underwent a C4-C7 cervical spine fusion surgery including bone grafts from his hip. This resulted with a partial paralysis in his right arm along with severe nerve pain.
This led to a revision surgery this past Monday, August 18.
Although the surgery was an needed to help the paralysis and unrelenting nerve pain, so far neither has changed. He is holding out hope and not giving up!
Once he has recovered sufficiently from this latest surgery his surgeon anticipates two more fusion surgeries of each the lumbar and thoracic regions.
Each procedure has meant months of recovery, limited mobility and mounting expenditures that strain the family.
For over a year Jamison has been unable to do the work he truly loves, as a home builder, due to his deteriorating health and surgeries. His wife, Nina, is working two jobs, together they are raising two wonderful, active sons. The oldest just began high school and the youngest kindergarten.
The funds donated will help cover;
*Medical expenses (surgery, hospital stays, follow-up)
*Rehabilitation
*Daily living and expenses for his family during recovery
Jamison is doing what he can to stay strong for his family. But this journey has taken a serious toll emotionally, physically, and financially.
If you’re able to donate, every contribution makes a difference. If you can’t give right now, please consider sharing this post with your network to help spread the word. Your kindness and support is more meaningful than words can express.
