Help Jamil Receive a Lifesaving Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tasnia Chowdhury, and I’m putting this together for my cousin Jamil Ahmed, who is currently residing in Bangladesh.
“Hello, my name is Jamil Ahmed and I'm 22 years old. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with renal (kidney failure) which completely changed my life unexpectedly. Many of my personal aspirations and experiences as a young adult were swiftly replaced by doctor’s appointments, confusing test results, and physical and dietary restrictions. I felt hopeless as I grieved a life that felt unfairly taken away.
Amidst these challenging years, the love and support from my family and friends has been a source of hope. Going through this has given me a profound feeling of appreciation for life and taught me to never take the little things or the people you love for granted because we just never know what’s in store. The treatments for kidney failure, including dialysis and kidney transplant, is financially daunting. Since both my kidneys failed, my friends and family have been paying for my medicines and dialysis, which costs more than $200 weekly. These expenses are overwhelming, which I'm struggling to afford. A kidney transplant in Bangladesh requires more than $30,000, which is beyond our means. So, I am asking for all your help and generosity to raise funds for my kidney transplant. Every contribution, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated.
To my brothers and sisters in Bangladesh, if you’d like to help, please donate to bKash number 01712051548.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. May you have a blessed day.”
Sincerely,
Jamil Ahmed
