My son became seriously ill after attending the Grillin’ & Chillin’ Festival in Dixon. After playing in the inflatable water slides, he developed four viral infections, believed to be linked to exposure to contaminated water.

He has been hospitalized for 12 days and is still fighting to recover. This has been an incredibly difficult time for him and for our family — physically, emotionally, and financially. As his full-time caregiver, I’ve remained by his side every day.

This fundraiser was created to help with medical expenses, care needs, and basic living costs during his recovery.

We’re also in contact with the proper agencies to ensure this situation is taken seriously and that future events are safer for all children.
