Hi! My name is Sarah Wayland-Smith and I am the daughter of Jamie Wayland-Smith.

I first want to say that my family apologizes for being quiet about my dads situation for the past year, we try to be private about a lot of things and we hoped this would get fixed on its own but it blew up very quickly and thought it was time to share. These past few years have been a rollercoaster of health issues for my dad, starting in August 2020. We have followed all of our doctors directions but life continues to throw us in a loop. In January, my dad took a radioactive iodine pill to stop his hyperthyroidism storm. He looked great for two weeks and then suddenly needed to go to the ER. The doctors told him that he needed a liver transplant but had to fix a list of other issues before that could be done. Today, we found out that he is officially on the transplant list! That being said, my dad has been in Rochester for a month now and will be there for who knows how long. Without him working, paying for medical bills, hotels, eating out, and gas is starting to add up very fast. Jamie is known for being a selfless, caring father/ husband/brother/ friend to all around him. He loves his family, The Grateful Dead, New York Yankees and so many other things. Jamie is too young to be going through this and has so much more life to live. All donations will be appreciated!
