I've been growing out my hair for a couple years now, at some point recently I realised I have plenty to go around, so why not donate it to someone who's lost theirs. After ignoring my mum's desperate pleas to and I quote "get rid of that mop" for a year I've got enough that I can cut it and make a decent wig.
I've never done proper charity fundraisers before so I have no idea how this will go, but the plan is to do it again in future.
According to the charity each wig from end to end costs about £700 to produce which is way more than I'd ever considered, and that's why I've set that as the goal. If you and I can fund the process all the way through it'll go a long way in helping those who need it.
When a child loses their hair to cancer, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. You can help give hair and hope to children and young people, by funding real hair wigs and ground-breaking childhood cancer research projects.
