Jamie's journey with Cholangiocarcinoma

First of all, we want to thank you for taking the time to read our page about our sweet Jamie. She is an amazing mom of two, a daughter, a sister, a friend and she means the world to all of us.

Since January 2023, Jamie has been battling severe medical issues and has been in and out of the hospital seeing multiple doctors. Due to her medical issues, Jamie was referred to Duke University Hospital in North Carolina and was recently diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, (a form of liver cancer). This cancer is rare and very aggressive. Jamie is a possible candidate for a liver transplant, if the cancer has not spread to any other parts of her body. She will also need to go through 6 weeks of chemotherapy with radiation. She has to travel to Duke University which is about 4 hours from her home in Virginia Beach every few days for medical treatment to help beat this cancer. The road ahead is going to be tough, but she is a fighter. Our love, support and prayers for Jamie is what will help her get through this.

**UPDATE** Jamie has been approved for the liver transplant and is currently undergoing chemo and radiation and preparing for the next step, the transplant! She will need to stay near Duke hospital for the next 6 months for all of her treatment including the surgery.
