Hello everyone!
During the first week in August this year my mum (Maureen) went to Millicans opticians saying her eyesight was becoming blurred, I told her it was nothing to worry about, I’ve been the opticians loads of times over the years and that she would be fine!
I could not have been more wrong.
After doing a couple of routine tests they told her to go to A&E straight away, 7 days later after scans she had brain surgery to remove a tumour they had found in her brain!
After a couple more days of scans they let her out! She was back home, eyesight still not right, but she was still very positive, she’d just been in and had brain surgery and took it all in her stride like it was nothing ha!

Days later my mum and dad (Roger) were called back in to the hospital as they had the results from the biopsy of the tumour, it was then they were told she had a Glioblastoma, stage 4 and that it was incurable.
Obviously we are all devastated but again my mum has just taken this in her stride.
Mum has now finished her first course of radiotherapy which again she has breezed through. Nobody expects this to happen to them or to a loved one and my mum has shown her true colours that she is such a brave and strong lady!
As there is very little I can do to help her I’ve decided to run the Liverpool half marathon on Sunday October 24th to help raise much needed funds for the Brain Tumour Charity.
For anyone who knows my mum, she is the nicest, kindest Wife/Mum/Nan/Sister/Aunty/friend/neighbour anyone could ever meet and would do anything for anyone, please help by donating x
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
