Jamie's Fight to Maintain Our Home

Donation protected

My name is Jamie and I've dedicated my life to providing stability and love to those who need it most. Several years ago, when their mother was incarcerated, I opened my heart and my home to five children who were facing an uncertain and tumultuous time in their young lives. For these children, the trauma of separation from their mother was compounded by the fear of being separated from each other.
Since then, my home has become their sanctuary—a place where they feel safe, loved, and supported despite the challenges they've faced. My income has been the sole source of support for our family, ensuring that these children have had the stability and care they desperately need to heal and thrive.
However, our sanctuary is now facing a new challenge. I recently lost my job after reporting fraud, waste, and nepotism (see my story below), leaving us in a precarious financial situation. The thought of losing the only stable environment these children have ever known breaks my heart. Haven't they suffered enough?
That's why I'm reaching out to you today. Your support can help us keep our home and continue providing stability and love to these children who have already endured so much. The funds raised will go towards covering essential expenses such as the house payment, utilities, and groceries.
Every child deserves a chance to grow up in a nurturing environment where they feel loved, valued, and supported. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will make a world of difference in their lives and in the future they deserve.
Thank you for considering supporting our family during this challenging time. Your kindness and compassion mean everything to us.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Jamie

My story - I began employment with Iowa Disability Determination in September of 2023 and in December of that year I turned them in for fraud, waste, and nepotism. I was terminated in March of 2024. I made the mistake of emailing the internal legal team with the information in addition to the Office of the Investigator General.
The reported behavior, along with the retaliatory termination, remains uninvestigated. I have since applied for disability and they intentionally violated their own policies in order to delay and, I anticipate, ultimately deny my claim.
There are strict regulations in place that prevent DDS offices from adjudicating the claims of former employees; as such, my claim should never have remained assigned to the office of my former employer. The substantial procedures in place to prevent such an occurrence mean that it cannot happen by mistake, inadvertence, or neglect. That my file remained in the that office is incontrovertible evidence of deliberate action; someone in the that office came across my file, saw the necessity of a transfer...and deliberately ignored it. A few months later, on December 2, my attorney contacted their office to insist that the transfer be completed; someone in that office falsified my file to say it was transferred that day. A month after that, on January 2, I made contact with that office, who said the file had been transferred on December 2 and referred me to the new caseworker in Nebraska; later that day, the Nebraska caseworker told me she had just gotten the file.
The conclusion is inescapable: I happened upon illegal conduct and reported it, as I was required to - and I was unlawfully fired for it while suffering from a medical condition. Months later, when I applied for disability, the same criminal actors are exacting further unlawful retaliation on my disability application.
Please help in anyway you can.
