Hello all, I started this fundraiser for my younger sister, Jamie. (48 F)

Jamie has a 12+ year old brain tumour that has become a real issue in the last 5 years.

She lives by her self and has sweet dog for company.

At first it was just a small benign tumour on pituitary gland, doctors didn’t know what it was. She developed diabetes, but not to sugar or insulin. It’s a hormonal type of diabetes.

In 2020, doctors did a biopsy, and found nothing. “Wasn’t what we thought it was “

These are the exact words the doctor said.

She had a brain bleed from the biopsy that went undiagnosed. Her personality did a complete 360.

Recently, she had another biopsy then 3 weeks later she underwent a craniotomy biopsy to get a bigger sample. Between these treatments Jamie continued to work.

Now she needs to be off for 3-4 months or longer as the surgery had side effects. Her eye sight is very poor, now she waits for her short term disability to kick in. As we wait for results from the latest biopsy.

Jamie has rent, car payments and just living expenses that she is struggling to pay.

I’m not asking for much but just enough to help get her through.

The stress of making her payments adds to her recovery time. As stress seems to affect the tumour that still remains in her brain.
