GoFundMe for Jamie Woolford AKA WOLFMAN!
My dearest friend Jamie Woolford (AKA Wolfman) is not well.
If you missed it, here is his Facebook post dated 12/5/2020:
"OK folks, so it's not very good news from my point of view today. I have been at odd's with myself re sharing this with the whole wide world, but a lot of people close to me already know, and whilst I have not been shy in telling people when they ask, I am a little sick of telling people over and over, what is going on.
I am sick, very sick, I have been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. The cancer is in my oesophagus, the tumour in there is quite advanced, and inoperable, and the cancer has also moved to other parts of my body.
The prognosis is that I cannot be cured, and any treatment from here out, will be either to try and slow down the cancer, and, or, give me some comfort.
I have been given 6 month's to 2 years to live, my instant reaction to that, was that I am going to fight like a dog to try and make my time left as long as possible, and be here in 3-5 years. The reality is the cancer is aggressive, and I could take a turn for the worse at any point in time.
My mental health is good right now, and I have great support around me. I am not looking for pity, just positive attitudes.
I am currently waiting for Radiotherapy to start, and have a couple of other things in the works to help my treatment.
I am still at work in a reduced capacity (jobkeeper), and will continue to keep working as long as my health lets me.
My goals right now are to stay as well as i can for as long as I can, for my kids, and to be fit enough to ride around Tassie with a bunch of mates for 2 weeks, in late February-early march 2021!"
As with most of us in the entertainment industry I know Wolfy isn't particularly flushed with money at the moment with the COVID restrictions on pubs/nightclubs.
I also know that he is not the sort of person to ask for money himself even if he desperately needed it.
Wolfy has given so much to so many people over his 30+ years in the hospitality industry, along with a great time and lifelong friendships with the crowds that came to so many of his shows.
As the cancer is terminal, I want to give him more than just money to cover his medical expenses. I would love to give him money to go towards whatever he wants to spend it on and enjoy in the time he has left. (hopefully a long time!)
I'm sure his dream motorbike and that trip to Tassie may be on that list, but either way it will certainly help with medical expenses and money for the well-being of his kids.
If everyone who has ever been to one of his shows gave just the minimum - he'd have enough to buy a small pacific island! (Maybe not a bad idea - we could have the mother of all Flashdance reunions on it!)
There is already a lot of love for Wolfy on his Facebook, and deservedly so. Every contribution goes directly to him, and every little bit will help.
Thank you ❤️
