Jamie Schroeder Sims Memorial

It is with the deepest of sorrows we inform you of the passing of our dearest mother, daughter, sister and friend, Jamie Schroeder Sims. Born on September 15, 1980, Jamie lived a vibrant life, full of love, and lifting the spirits of everyone she encountered. She was a long-time employee of Sexton’s Seafood INC in Vestavia. She was an amazing chef and avid sportsman. Jamie could often be found in the outdoors gardening or hunting for wild mushrooms. Most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family. Jamie had a bright soul and a heart of gold. She lost her courageous fight with cancer on December 13, 2020, surrounded by her loving family in Leeds, Alabama. Jamie is survived by her two beautiful children, Hope (11) and Drake (10), her siblings Jason and Quinn, and her cherished parents, Roger and Paula Schroeder. In lieu of flowers, the family is honoring Jamie’s request for donations for the children.
