The Grundy Fight Academy is raising funds in memory of one of our own, Jamie Highton, and to support his family during this heartbreaking time.

Jamie was just 19 years old a beloved student and an important part of our team for many years. Throughout his time at the club, he selflessly gave back—helping to teach the kids, supporting newcomers, and always being there for others. He earned his blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and competed in one MMA fight, showing great talent, determination, and heart.

Jamie and his brother Connor shared a love of fishing and recently went on a long-awaited trip to France together. On this trip, tragedy struck Jamie sadly passed away doing something he loved

Jamie was someone who lit up the room—kind, generous, and universally loved. There wasn’t a person who had a bad word to say about him. He went on a fishing trip with his brother and never came home.

We are asking for donations to help Jamie’s family with any costs they now face and to honour Jamie’s memory in the way he deserves.
