Jamie and Poptart's Path to a New Home
Donation protected
Hey Everyone, my name is Jamie. As a lot of you know, ever since the loss of My Family, I have been severely depressed and honestly, a shell of who I formally was.
On February 19th I did something I never thought I would do....I tried to kill myself. I was in the ICU at Wyandotte Hospital for two days before being transferred to a mental facility in New Baltimore called Harbor Oaks for two weeks. I got the help and proper diagnoses that I desperately needed but in that time I lost my job and am now currently homeless. I'm staying at the Suburban 53 in Southgate. Poptart is being cared for but I can't have him here with me and that's really hard. He is my emotional support animal and everyone knows I love him more than anything. This is a position I never thought I would be in.
I'm currently living off of my taxes and have put in 30+ job applications. If anyone knows of jobs hiring in or around Southgate, please let me know. I will do anything at this point. My phone is about to be turned off and I desperately need it to check in with people but most importantly, a job and finding somewhere to call my own with Poptart.
This is very hard for me to put my business out there because I'm ashamed of what I did but, and this is hard for me to say but I really need some help.
The money donated will help me stay at the Motel until I can find an Apartment for Me and Poptart, get me to and from Doctor's Appointments and Job Interviews because I don't drive so I need to use Uber and Lyft. And also to pay my phone bill and get some much needed groceries.
Like I said before, I never thought I would be in this position. Its very hard for me to ask for help so I usually just go without.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. And if you are unable to donate, a share and a prayer would be awesome! I just really want to get my life back on track, work on my mental health, get back to working and not be homeless.
