Assalamu Alaykum! We hope this message reaches you well.

Jamia New York is the Girls' section of the Madrasa, Jamiatul Uloom NY. Through the mercy of Allah SWT, we recently relocated to a new building in Jamaica, NY. We currently have around 50 students counting our full-time and part-time students.

We offer the following courses: Hifz & Nazira, Alimiyyah, Maktab, Seminary, and more!

Our origin story:

Back in 2021, a handful of parents contacted us seeking help for their child to be in Madrasa as they had nowhere else to turn to. After seeing the situation these kids were facing, we humbly began with 7 students and 3 teachers in the corner of a small room in Masjid Al-Hamdulillah. After five months, we relocated.

In the past few months, we had about 75+ kids coming in for different courses; whether for full-time Hifz/Alimiyyah or Maktab, we are working on making this Madrasa a home for these students. With your help, we can do this, In sha Allah!

Our primary focus right now is to raise funds to provide basic school necessities for our students. This includes:

Bookshelves

Kitaabs/Classroom Supplies

This type of sadaqah is called sadaqah jariyah (continuous), which means one will receive the reward for it until the day of judgment. For example, through the money that you donate, we buy supplies for the students of deen; you will receive reward for the benefit gained from using those supplies to the point that afterwards, when these students become scholars, you will get reward for what they teach their students too and so the chain continues until the day of judgment. This a great way of earning good deeds even after your death when you can no longer commit any acts. It’s like planting a seed and reaping its benefits from an inevitable tree.

Giving in charity does not decrease your wealth; instead, it places blessings in it!
