My wife, Debbie Kornusky was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer that has metastasized (spread) throughout her body. She was diagnosed January of 2019.
It has gone into her lymph nodes throughout. Covered around her aorta (heart). She has large tumors behind her stomach region, large tumors in pelvis region. Some size of grapefruit and baseball size. It has spread into her lower back bones. It hurts badly.
She was given approx. 15 months to live when diagnosed.
It all started with her not feeling well for months. She had planned to go in but never did. She was very busy trying to keep up with her photography of taking pictures with Santa Claus in December. The pain got worse until January 17th, a Thursday I drove her straight to ER.
She had 3 CT scans, an MRI, X-rays, ultrasounds, biopsies, port surgery and first chemo therapy.
She plans to fight hard because she has so much to live for. We have been married 21 years and have a beautiful daughter, Lily who is 9 years old.
She has been having chemo every 3 weeks with no end in sight. So far she has had 5 all day chemo’s. She is trying so hard to fight!
