Hi my name is Paige and I am starting up a fundraiser for my friend and colleagues son James !

James was diagnosed with brain cancer (medullablastoma) on his 15th birthday.

James had to learn to walk all over again after 6 tough weeks of radiotherapy and 8 cycles of chemo.

James got to ring the end of treatment bell at the end of June 2022

After this massive battle at such a young age James’s mental health has declined and a massive part of this is down to his eyesight as the treatment has caused double vision and he is also short sighted.

James got glasses but no matter what his family tried he just would not wear them and after months of test he was diagnosed with autism in December 2023 and therefore has sensory issues and he did not like how the glasses felt on his ears and nose.

James feels really separated from his friends as school as he can’t even see them unless they are standing right in front of him.

A recent trip for a laser eye surgery consultation has proven James to be a very good candidate for the surgery to go ahead !

This surgery will give James more confidence to go out, socialise and explore which is the least he deserves after the battles he has been through !
