James Stanoch: Braving the Battle Against his Brain Tumor
Donation protected
Dearest Family, Friends, and Kind Supporters,
Life has a way of reminding us of our fragility, often when we least expect it. For my brother, James Stanoch, this reminder came in the form of a recent diagnosis that we never anticipated—a Vestibular Schwannoma.
This benign tumor is about the size of a golf ball, nestled on the right side of his brain. It is pressing against his brain stem causing facial numbness, hearing loss in his right ear, and severe vertigo but it is the brain swelling signaling the urgency of his condition.
James is scheduled for a craniotomy on June 11th, 2024, at the Mayo Clinic. This intricate surgery is James’s best chance to reclaim his life from this silent intruder.
The complexity of the surgery and the severity of his symptoms mean that James will be away from work for at least three months, a hiatus necessary for healing but laden with financial strain.
This is where we, James’s family, turn to you, our community. James is kind and selfless and has always been there for us, and likely a lot of you. It’s our turn to be there for him. We are reaching out with our hearts full of hope, asking for your support to help cover medical expenses and loss of income during his recovery.
Your donation, big or small, is more than just monetary aid; it’s a testament to the strength of human connection and the power of collective support. It’s a chance for James to focus solely on healing without the weight of financial worry.
James is the strongest person we know, and with your help, he won’t have to face this journey alone. Let’s rally around him and show him that no battle is too daunting when you have an army of love and support by your side.
With deepest gratitude,
