Jameson Thomas Newell - The Heart Of A Warrior

Donation protected
Good Evening Family & Friends,

I want to start out by saying Thank You All for the prayers and support you have given Josh, Will, Jameson, and myself throughout this Heart journey. We cannot begin to tell you how much each and every one of you means to us. Through the positive thoughts, prayers, gifts, donations, gift cards, messages, and calls we have seen God move in a mighty way. I have lived a lot of life in 37 years but the support we have seen through our son, Jameson Thomas Newell's journey has been like any other.

As you all are aware, Jameson Thomas, was born on April 11, 2024 with a congenital heart defect. He has congenital heart disease and will forever live his life with this diagnosis. We know that science and medicine has come so far but we serve a big God and we know that his plans are greater than what we could ever imagine for Jameson.

Jameson is currently 12 weeks old (3 months) he has had one open heart surgery at 7 days old called the Norwood. He will be having another open heart surgery anywhere from 6 months to 8 months depending on how he grows and how his heart is functioning as time goes on. Right now he weighs 10.5 lbs. We left the hospital 4 weeks ago and he is thriving at home. We could not be more grateful for the progress he has made. He is such a happy little boy with a bright future.

At 34 weeks I was told by Jameson's cardiologist that I would be unable to travel therefore would need to go on FMLA. I requested FMLA through my job but was let go because I was unable to fulfill my travel duties and they would not hold my position due to not knowing when I would return to full-time work. I was devastated. I have worked since I was 14 and provided for each one of my children throughout their lives. My husband, Josh, works for a wonderful company and has been able to work full time throughout my pregnancy and throughout Jameson's heart surgery and beyond.

As of right now we are in a critical period for our family. We do not yet have a date for Jameson's surgery and therefore I am not sure when I will be able to return to full-time work. Once Jameson is able to have his second open heart surgery, the Glenn, he will be able to live life in a more normal manner. Jameson and I have been instructed by our cardiologist to stay home and only get out for cardiology appointments. He is not able to be around other young children or crowds, therefore unable to be left with anyone besides myself and our immediate household.

As you may can imagine, this has caused a lot of stress on us mentally and financially. We are currently needing to purchase some large items such as air purifiers, humidifiers, and things needed to put in his room to ensure his lungs and heart perform at optimum capacity until his next surgery and beyond. We are also doing our best to make ends meet on one income.

The last thing that Josh and I wanted to do was to ask for help, but here we are. We are asking not only for prayer but for any donation amount that you feel led to give. We know that everyone is struggling right now in this terrible economy. It is not lost on me that every family has children with unmet needs. We are just asking that if you feel led to give, we appreciate anything.

The money raised will be solely used to fund Jameson's medical expenses and equipment that our insurance does not cover for his heart condition.

If you have taken the time to read this, thank you. We appreciate your support more than you can imagine. Please continue to pray for us. We are going through a lot of uncharted waters and doing the best to "Just keep swimming." It is because of YOU that we have made it this far in our journey.

The Newell family is thankful for all that we have been given thus far and we know that God has a great purpose for our son, Jameson Thomas. He has so many people thinking and praying for his health daily. Keep watching, he is going to show you what a fighter looks like. He is going to continue to inspire and do great things for those that come into contact with him. He is a special child and we will raise him to know and believe that through Christ he can do ALL things!

God Bless you all,

Thank you for supporting us in every way
