Help Jameson get a seizure safe bed!

Hello! This is Jamo’s mom and I am trying to raise money so I can build a seizure safe bed for my son.

I never thought I’d be one to make a go fund me for myself but I am in need of help from my community, thank you for being understanding.

Until 2 months ago Jameson was a completely healthy little boy, now it has been discovered that he is suffering with epileptic seizures (majority at night while he sleeps). He is on keppra currently but even taking it consistently he is still having up to 15 seizures between 8:30pm and 7am every night/morning. I’ve been referred to Children’s Neurology but unfortunately they can not see him until mid-October.

With him being at risk of injuring himself during seizures I, being ill equipped, have to essentially stay up all night with him to ensure his safety.

I have looked in to beds for children with special needs but they are upwards of $5,000-$7,000 which I can not afford. So I have decided to build him one myself that will take a third of the cost (around $1,200) my goal is set to $1500 to cover fees from gofundme

Included in the cost is as follows:

Full size bed frame

Full size mattress

2 seizure safe pillows

MP5v2 Bed Movement Monitor for seizures with a 2 year protection plan

Indoor security camera (to face his bed)

3 safety rails (2 for sides and 1 for end of his bed)

I don’t imagine I will raise much but any bit will help as I am a single mother with only 1 source of income as a waitress.
