My name is Shelby Bunting and I am starting this campaign in hopes to help my Uncle James and his family during this stressful, heartbreaking time. He is a husband to Gina Jolly and an active father of three young children, Isabella, Marina and James Jolly. Here is there story...
James experienced two previous heart attacks at age 35 & 36, he actively has had healthy heart checks for the past 9 years, coaching his son and daughters soccer team, surfing, guiding fishing trips, and staying active, along with all of life's other duties. In the past two months, he took a turn for the worse. Suddenly he began experiencing shortness of breath and chest pains, his wife, my Aunt Gina said he turned a grayish color, she insisted he be taken to the hospital. The surgeons began saying he was in congestive heart failure, with his heart ejection factor in the low 20's (normal is between 55-70) They said he will need open heart surgery for a heart valve replacement, to put a stent in one artery, a pacemaker, and a Maze procedure to stop future atrial fib. After spending about a week in the hospital, they now are saying that he may need heart transplant. With that being said, he has been transported to Tampa where the heart team will do assessments and tests to determine if the heart transplant is needed. His family's heart is breaking right now, scared to death, worrying about what may happen next. This is a close knit family, the children are currently missing school to be there at his bedside. What child can go to school and concentrate with this tragic thing happening to their father?! As of right now there is NO $$ income coming in. Since the day my Uncle was admitted into the hospital, my Aunt Gina has not been able to return back to work, not leaving his side, only to shower,eat, and sleep. It is going on about two weeks of no income, and bills are piling up very fast and the medical bills are racking up each hour (not to mention, the transport fee from hope sound area to Tampa) also, along with the nightly hotel fees and everything else to go along with traveling. This is never something this family would usually do but this is there last hopes in bringing some kind of peace to them at this time. To be able to pay for his hospital bills, traveling fees and most importantly their monthly bills, so they can have a home to bring their dad and husband back to when he's gets better. Please, help bring my family a little bit of comfort at this time of heart ache. They have their husband, and fathers life to worry about, the last thing they need they need is to worry about how they will make the next bit of money... thank-you to each and everyone of you for the donations, prayers and sweet words, they are greatly appreciated at this time.
