Help James Haro Make "Music Magic" in 2024!

Hello Everyone!

I'm James Haro and I have been on a musical journey that started way back in the 5th grade when I started writing songs for my pretend band I formed with some friends and leads all the way to right now as a 33 year old Philly based music artist that hosts a seasonal Open Mic and who just released his very first single.

My music project is called "James Haro In Storage" which I started in 2022 during lockdown from the COVID 19 pandemic. I've also been an actor and a playwright and have self-produced a number of plays and readings. I have used crowdfunding for a few projects but mostly that part occurred before launching into production.

With my song, "Verses", once I knew I had a producer I trusted and had the ability to pool some resources in order to accomplish my goal, I hit the ground running and sprinted toward the finish line.

I self-funded all aspects of the production of the track, including musician fees, studio booking, mixing and mastering costs -- however, this does not include my own time and labor of writing and performing the song and recording in the studio.

In order to make back the ~$2000 I put into the song, "Verses" would have to be streamed 458,000 times on Spotify. Impossible? No. How long would it take if every day my song was streamed 26 times (the number of streams since I released the song yesterday)? 46 and a half years.

Don't get me wrong. I continue to be so grateful that I was able to make this happen and blessed to have so many talented musicians come together to play on this track. I felt like Headroom Studios was a sort of temple where I was being baptized in this new song recording experience. I am ITCHING to get back and do it all again.

That's why I'm writing this message now. I see "Verses" as a proof of concept. I don't see this as just releasing one song and now I'm done. I believe I have albums worth of material...

But for now, I'll settle for getting a 3 song EP out in the world by the end of 2024.
