Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training

My name is James Grant, two weeks ago I performed at Rockwood Music Hall in New York City and raised $1,000 in one night, directly benefiting the family of a 23 year-old leukemia patient. In the past I organized three benefit concerts for the Dear Jack Foundation and raised thousands of dollars helping adolescents and young adults with cancer. Currently, I am in the early stages of planning a yoga-event benefit program with The Dear Jack Foundation. This calling to fundraise for a cause so close to my heart has humbled and inspired me. I wish to be boots on the ground in this war against cancer. Peaceful boots, that is, I want to help cancer patients receive the undeniable benefits of Yoga, as well as continue to fundraise for their well being.
I applied for and was accepted into the Yoga Teaching Training Program at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. The course starts on February 19th. I intend to use this opportunity to provide community (free) yoga for cancer patients. First in N.Y.C. then nationwide. My Community Yoga for Cancer Warriors program will be launched directly through hospitals with the help of cancer foundations I have raised money for.
Teacher training isn't cheap, and while I've been able to cover almost half of it, I am currently unable to pay the rest: $3,000. So I decided to launch this gofundme with the hope of making this dream come true. I have a passion for leadership, yoga and helping others. Now all I need is to be taught the proper skills from the Kripalu School of Yoga, in order to be properly certified. Any $50+ donations will receive a free yoga class from Yours Truly, at a time and location of your convenience. It is the least I can do.
