Back story:
My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2017 and it has been up and down since. We have been lucky enough for his cancer to be maintained but it was slowly getting worse we were trying to figure out the next step for his treatment and now it has taken a turn for the worse .
This is an update about my fathers illness. I received a call from my aunt he wasn’t feeling well and that he needed to be taken to the ER. He was really nauseous and had been throwing up for hours and his chest pain got worse as well as his breathing. He was in a lot of pain due to him not being able to take his medication for his back fusions. The doctor came back and told him he has a mass on his liver, kidney, and bones. Which led to him being admitted to the hospital for a couple days. Due to further testing we found out that his cancer had spread further and that it was a different form of cancer. Then the doctors took a biopsy of his tumor in his liver. We found out a few days later that it was Neuroendocrine cancer (condition in which the cells develop into tumors) which means he will need to start chemotherapy. As well as doing stem cell treatments that will further improve his health. And give my dad a fighting chance going through chemo.
