James' Top Surgery Recovery Fund

A year and a half ago I was assessed for top surgery, got my referral and was put on the waiting list. It felt like forever, waiting to get that call that I was on the top of the list, but finally it came in November 2019. I had an in person appointment set for May 2020 with my surgeon, but of course, that wasn't able to happen. I was told all surgeries were being put on hold, and that they would not be able to give me a date. I was pretty crushed. I figured I would not be having this incredibly important surgery for at least another year. Now in October, still assuming that top surgery was the farthest thing in the world, I got a phone call from the surgeon's office letting me know they have a date for me. November 20th of 2020. I still can hardly believe it's actually happening this year! 

Now its short notice, so I don't have a ton of money saved up. I work two physically demanding jobs so I will not be allowed back to work for at least 5 weeks. I will be out of pay for over a full month. I also have expenses to pay for during recovery (a nurse to visit at home, transportation to doctor appointments, grocery deliveries as I will not be able to carry my own, ect.) and rent and bills on top of it all. I know right now is very hard on us all, so I understand if you can't donate very much! Trust me, anything helps. Even just sharing this with your friends, and help getting the word out would mean the world to me! I just want to recover without stressing out about my next meal.
