James' Car Accident / Repair

Hey guys! This isn't an easy thing for me to do, but for once I must sit my pride aside and ask for help. The past few weeks have been extremely difficult - physically, mentally, and emotionally. As some of you know, I've been struggling with a kidney stone issue - After having 2 procedures, I was finally starting to feel better, but then got hit with another blow.
While in Atlanta last week for our Leadership conference someone managed to get ahold of my debit card info, and then proceeded to "go to town," ultimately overdrawing my checking account. While I do have overdraft protection, a few charges got returned.. I found out the hard way last night that one of those charges was for my car insurance. I never received a call, voicemail, text notification, or anything in the mail.. so I was unaware that it didn't go through. To make matters worse, I was in a head-on car crash last night. Someone wasn't paying attention, didn't have the right of way, and proceeded to turn right in front of me - hitting me head-on. Just wait though, it gets better! The person stopped briefly, long enough for me to get a picture of their ID, and copy of their rental car agreement, but then quickly fled the scene (I'm assuming they were under the influence, but have no way of proving it).
I contacted my insurance this morning, after paying my balance last night and renewing my policy, but they are not wanting to cover the damage to my car. I've had Progressive for years now, and have never missed a payment! With that being said, I'm in desperate need of help. I'm extremely embarrassed to even ask, but I don't know what else to do at this point..
I would appreciate it if all of my friends and family could, at most, share this with others. If you are able to contribute, I would forever be grateful.
