Jimmy Wall Funeral and Legacy

Hi, my name is Julian Castro and it is with overwhelming sadness that I share the sudden and unexpected death of my beloved husband Jimmy Wall. He passed away Sunday morning January 8th, 2023 after being admitted to the hospital for a cardiac event.

Soon after we met in 2010 Jimmy was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. I was not deterred. I loved him more than life itself, and we married as soon as we were able to in 2015 when marriage equality became law in Florida.

Managing the disease was difficult but our union seemed destined. I coincidently had a long career as a personal trainer specializing in working with clients suffering from neurodegenerative disorders and became passionate about ensuring him an amazing quality of life. We discovered that hemp products became a huge part of managing the disease and the harsh side effects of the medications. As a result, we founded Healian Company and began growing hemp, extracting CBD, and developing various products that we could bring to the public to help others like Jimmy.

As the disease progressed through stage 3, it became apparent that I would have to pull back and serve as a full-time caregiver. Throughout the pandemic we struggled through difficult health and financial hardships, almost losing everything at one point. We fought to get our heads above water and had been making significant progress when he was suddenly and unexpectedly taken away.

I am now left to move forward picking up the pieces of my broken heart, with only memories of the most loving, funny, and caring man by my side, but with so much uncertainty. It is very difficult for me to ask for help, but I don’t know any other way to get through this and provide Jimmy with the dignity of a Celebration of Life he deserves, and continue to cement a legacy for what we were trying to build and give back to the world with our shared dreams.

We had so many plans for our future together, and that makes me the most sad. On the other hand, his memory will remain a driving force for the rest of my life.
