Hi my name is Ashley, James Toders daughter.
James Toder Jr. was involved in a motorcycle accident on Monday 5/15/23. My dad was traveling down 23 mile mile road when the accident occurred. James is suffering from injuries to his body. He was transported to the hospital. Upon arrival to the ER James needed CPR. This is where they found an artery damaged in two locations. James was given blood in a short period to attempt to keep him alive. I was called informed I need to get to arrive ASAP. Once I arrived I had to sign consent for surgeries. He had open fractures in the with bones sticking through the skin. The doctors rushed him into surgery. It was still unknown if he would make it out of surgery. After surgery it was an unbelievable miracle and they were able to remove the ventilator and he was alive. Now in one week James has undergone a lot of surgeries with many more to go. He currently has a very large leg wound that can not be repaired without plastic surgery if possible at all. He still has a 50/50 chance of needing a leg amputation. Not to mention all of the other surgeries he will need. The hard part is James does labor work for a living. He is typically on his hands and knees remodeling which he will no longer be able to do. He will no longer have an income at this time and will still be in the hospital for an unknown period of time. He is a very proud and prideful person who would never ask for help but I am asking for help in this time. Due to not working we will need help with housing bills, gas, and food while down. All proceeds will be going directly to James and Jess. Anything will help.
This accident not only takes an effect on him and his body but our entire family as James lost his son, my brother in 2006 from a motorcycle accident. We are all thankful and grateful for James to still be alive and can only think it was his son Josh who spiritually protected him during the accident.
Please continue praying for James and our family as this road to recovery is going to be ongoing, long, difficult, and unknown.
- James Toder has not received any funds from insurance companies for this accident.
- The investigation is on going and information above is not based on hard facts it is based off of hear say information.
