In Memory of James Shelton

As you know, we suddenly lost our dear friend, James Lamont Shelton, on October 24th. His was a large personality, with untamed energy to spare. James could lift spirits with his voice, inspire deep mirth with his unbridled (and sometimes uncouth) sense of humor, or provide comfort with a pretty solid hug. And for those whom he rubbed wrong—as large personalities sometimes will—he still provided pretty strong memories that fueled many a story.

The only thing that consistently left him humbled was the love he had for his children, Ariela (16) and Kelemen (14). His pride for them was larger still than his personality. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this new path without him. As his college roommates, we thought it appropriate to leave them a gift as a gesture of our friendship and as a bridge to help them cover costs left by his absence. If you see fit to join us, it would be a big help.

Many thanks to all of those who have already donated via another page – big ups to our big lead-off hitter in Bobby Edemeka! We will make sure that all previous donations make it to their mother for investment in their college funds.
