Our hearts are filled with grief. We are confident Kate is resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord. Here on Earth, we are surrounding Kevin and the boys with love and prayers.
Catherine “Kate” Green Wilson of Hamilton Twp, NJ, loving wife of Kevin W. Wilson and mother of James, Samuel, and Theodore, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, February 21, 2020. Kate was born on November 7, 1977, in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Nazareth Academy and attended Franklin and Marshall College and also the University of Pennsylvania where she studied the biological basis of animal behavior and fostered her love of animals.
Kate was a trained EMT and volunteered her time to the Yardley-Makefield Emergency Unit, where she met her husband, Kevin. Over the years, Kate owned and operated a canine transportation company and worked as a veterinary tech. Most recently, she was employed at the non-profit Standardbred Retirement Foundation of NJ, supporting the organization’s cause of humane treatment of retired horses. This passion was so great that Kate built corrals and a barn so she could care for some horses personally at her home.
But Kate’s greatest love and achievement was raising her three sons. Whether it was fishing, building Legos, crafts, or caring for pets, her joy was evident.
In addition to her husband and children, Kate is survived by her mother, Patricia Green and her brother, John Green, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Green.
A celebration of Kate’s life will be held at Peppler Funeral Home in Allentown, New Jersey on Monday, March 2, 2020. Viewing hours are from 10 a.m -12 p.m, followed by a service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kate’s name can be made to the James, Samuel, and Theodore Wilson Educational Fund.
