Welcome and thank you for visiting! This page was created in support of my partner, James Reeves (31). James is the beloved Fiance of Kelly Anderson and the devoted son to former teacher/optometrist James Reeves Sr. We have two beautiful dogs, & and a sassy parakeet. Together, we have resided in the wonderful community of Pittsfeild Township, MI since 2014.  In April of 2019, James received the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia - a very rare occurrence (especially for his age). He had had very chronic back pain off & on for a couple of years, but doctors seemed to think it was just a bulging disc.  After all, nobody expects that a seemingly healthy 31 year-old is going to have a tumor fracturing their spine.  Chemotherapy so far has gone well. We are a long way from recovery. We will now be a single income household for the better part of a year.  The Medical Deductible is 7,800.  We were about a year out from buying a house, and finally starting our life together.  Now we are just trying to not lose everything we've been working years for. He is young, and we are trying so hard to get through this situation.

During this difficult time, we’re hoping to help the family with donations to be used towards out-of-network medical expenses, rent, food, and honestly just any cost of living that we can.  We just dreamed of our future for years, and it feels the moment we were about to make our moves, this terrible disease has derailed our entire family.

Over the last two years, many would never have guessed that James was dealing with this horrible disease, as he has kept the most positive, upbeat, & resilient attitude. He is a wonderful person who would do anything for anyone and is loved by so many.   Anyone who has ever had him as their waiter at Real Seafood Co., Sidetrack Bar & Grill, or bought a car from him at Fox Ann Arbor Nissan will tell you that. Through this page, we are hoping for any help to relieve some of the financial pressures that come with these unexpected expenses. We know how much they will appreciate any efforts provided from their friends, family and community.
