Honoring James Ray Davis Jr.

Dear Family, Friends and Community,

My name is Saraya McCray and I write this on behalf of my family.

We come to you with heavy hearts and a void like no other. My uncle, James Ray Davis Jr. a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a man of God was tragically taken at the hands of a heinous man, his neighbor, on March 29th, 2025 in a manner in which no one deserves, especially James.

James Ray Davis Jr. was a family man, a man of God, a man who served for his country. He was a man of smiles and jokes, who could find a way to overcome the worst of situations with a smile on his face and always has his family's back no matter the circumstance. A man who found happiness in the simplicity of playing his guitar, hopping on his bike with his speaker, cheering for his Broncos, studying his faith and loving his family. A man who in his final years was striving to become a minister of his local church to help others and was able to provide a place to stay for his sister and brothers when needed. He is survived by his daughter Danielle, whom he is proudest of and always would say " You are the only thing in life I made perfect." He is also survived by his beautiful grandchildren, his brothers, nieces, nephews and his San Bernardino buddies who all deeply cherished him.

There are no words to describe the pain and devastation this has put on our family and friends. But in James's honor we would like to properly lay him to rest in the best way possible. We are reaching out to our family, friends and community not only to ask for financial support during this difficult time, but to share the impact that he had on all of our lives. We appreciate any and all contributions.
